This is all a jumbled mess. I've been having trouble dreaming lately, and have tried using hypotic files to try and bring them out.
Last night was a really jumbled one.
-I climbed on the outside of a house to smoke "fake, legal marijuana"
-Brian found it, but it had transformed into something else.
-I was with Tom, who crashed into the local Verizon Store with his car. He then did an insane donut and spinned around and drove off.
-I had bought a Droid-like phone, and Brian was telling me how I should've saved my money.
-I was in a tunnel with a bunch of Cat bulldozers and workers. This part had a narrator talking about a flesh-eating disease that was in the tunnel, and how rapidly it could spread. Upon discovering such a thing, all of the construction workers, including myself, ran out of the tunnel screaming.

Garbled Sleep
Haven't had much luck lately, been losing it almost as soon as I get up. Night before last was something about Harry Potter. I have no idea about almost any of the details now.
I'm struggling to remember what I had just dreamed. Were there dinosaurs in it? Maybe. I'm just not sure.
Edit: I vaguely remember several things: pushing/lifting heavy wooden crates, being in some sort of "space hotel", and also an interface with settings that I could change settings by moving my hands in the air.

Sunday June 20th, "Movie" Dreams
Finally, a dream. I theorize that this was made possible through sleep deprivation.
Essentially, the content of this "dream" entails the plot of two very different movies that are somehow interconnected.
-One is a superhero-type of film, and involves Toby Maguire as the protagonist. He has given up being Spiderman due to his discovery of a fascinating new indestructible alloy. He gives himself a war-mongering, more villanous name. Dresses sort of like Magneto.
At the same time, he decides to aid in fighting this strange outbreak of a disease that causes people to not only mutate, but in such a way that their powers are incredibly deadly.
In one scene, a woman was given a weird appearance in which her skin and facial features degenerated in such a way that her texture seemed to be bright white with moving colored rainbows on her. She could merge into the ceiling and walls. Anyone she touched seemed to unfold and disassemble themselves into clothing-like material, and Peter seemed to be truly sorry for her.
In this dream, this was both a movie and somehow also a reality. It was being done by an independent filmmaker on a budget of less than 8 thousand dollars, and everyone pledged support for the film.
-The other "movie" type of dream was a horror film with over 20 different endings, created by the same filmmaker. It was somehow intertwined with the superhero movie. The director claimed that this was not just some horror film. When you watched the different versions with different endings and soundtracks, it became an entirely different film.
In one version, every one of the main characters are brutally murdered, deep fried, and eaten by cannibals. There were horrible screams and the actors obviously died painfully. In another, the various monsters opened a door to scream at the audience, but it became increasingly hilarious as the door started rapidly opening and closing with different monsters to the point of becoming absurd.
In yet another, everything ends up fine with a love story developing between two of a main characters in a high school setting. (The girl had pink hair.) In this "movie" dream, I was watching it with my mother and she kept telling me what a fascinating idea for a film this was.

Hallucinations
Earlier this morning, was caught in a moment of what appeared to be waking sleep. My alarm clock went off early in the morning, and I hadn't gotten a whole lot of sleep the night before.
Phenomenon: Waking hallucinations, overlapped upon physical world.
Likely Cause: Sleep Deprivation
Description: I woke up around 6:30 AM to find faces staring back at me. They were disembodied, and functioned as if they were attached to clouds or something. They flew around me, and seemed to be aware of me. They were bizarre in appearance, but ultimately weren't frightening or "harmful" (in the sense of a dream character attempting to harm the dreamer).
I figured this may merit documentation of some sort.

Begin Experiment
This blog's function is to act as a dream diary of sorts. I am experimenting with a method of achieving lucid dreaming, and as such am interested in the full spectrum of possibilities.
Some questions to consider:
-Can interaction with the subconscious while experiencing lucid dreaming be achieved?
-Hypnosis has been shown to change behaviour in people willing to be hypnotized. Can the power of self-suggestion work while in a lucid dream? Can one truly "hack" into their own mind and change their core fundamental behaviours?
-What can and cannot be manipulated in a lucid dream?
-Can astral travel be achieved via lucid dreaming?
-If the subconscious CAN be manipulated into changing behaviours and mannerisms, what is the extent of possibility here? Could I, say, open up new senses? Could I create significant physical and emotional traits?
Either way, those are some of the things I will attempt to find out. I am keeping this diary as the first part of the experiment, to see if I can heighten the possibility of lucid dreaming without the need for hypnosis.
