Finally, a dream. I theorize that this was made possible through sleep deprivation.
Essentially, the content of this "dream" entails the plot of two very different movies that are somehow interconnected.
-One is a superhero-type of film, and involves Toby Maguire as the protagonist. He has given up being Spiderman due to his discovery of a fascinating new indestructible alloy. He gives himself a war-mongering, more villanous name. Dresses sort of like Magneto.
At the same time, he decides to aid in fighting this strange outbreak of a disease that causes people to not only mutate, but in such a way that their powers are incredibly deadly.
In one scene, a woman was given a weird appearance in which her skin and facial features degenerated in such a way that her texture seemed to be bright white with moving colored rainbows on her. She could merge into the ceiling and walls. Anyone she touched seemed to unfold and disassemble themselves into clothing-like material, and Peter seemed to be truly sorry for her.
In this dream, this was both a movie and somehow also a reality. It was being done by an independent filmmaker on a budget of less than 8 thousand dollars, and everyone pledged support for the film.
-The other "movie" type of dream was a horror film with over 20 different endings, created by the same filmmaker. It was somehow intertwined with the superhero movie. The director claimed that this was not just some horror film. When you watched the different versions with different endings and soundtracks, it became an entirely different film.
In one version, every one of the main characters are brutally murdered, deep fried, and eaten by cannibals. There were horrible screams and the actors obviously died painfully. In another, the various monsters opened a door to scream at the audience, but it became increasingly hilarious as the door started rapidly opening and closing with different monsters to the point of becoming absurd.
In yet another, everything ends up fine with a love story developing between two of a main characters in a high school setting. (The girl had pink hair.) In this "movie" dream, I was watching it with my mother and she kept telling me what a fascinating idea for a film this was.
